**Raise Bore - Drill Operator**

Master Drilling is looking for **_“Raise Bore - Drill Operator”_**_ _for our Projects located in Canada**.**

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Provide training and mentoring to those individuals selected to potentially become Raise Bore operators.
- Work safely in an underground mining environment on a roster arrangement which included night shift
- Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Accountable for the performance of the raise drill
- Prepare and submit reports or requests as required.
- Make required adjustments to the operational settings of the raise bore drill to compensate for ground conditions.
- Give direction to crew members on the various duties with respect to the safe and efficient operation of the raise drill.
- Connect various components on the raise drill as required.
- Read and interpret engineering plans to set up the raise drill and assemble components.
- Perform and/or assist in minor repairs as required.
- Ensure the maintenance of a clean work site, storage of materials and spare parts.
- Must be able to follow proper procedure to ensure safety and to control equipment damage.
- Ensure to follow the wagon-wheel process flow, fill out all documentation required for authorization for each process. Lining up holes and drilling in accordance with procedure.
- Machine aligned as prescribed by surveyor.
- Ensure that daily maintenance is carried out before commencing drilling.
- Daily Machine Maintenance
- Ensure that hydraulic hoses and electric cabling are suspended separately
- Transported Hydraulic & Electrical Packs without being damaged.
- Ensure that electric pack doors are kept closed to prevent water from entering electric pack.
- Tool car chain blocks neat and inventory list updated.
- Ensure that there are no oil leaks on hydraulic power pack or machine.
- Conduct daily check list on machine and ensure machine is operating within spec. report any deviations immediately to Supervisor
- Record hour meter reading in operators report book before commencement of drilling operations.
- Provide training and mentoring to those individuals selected to potentially become Raise Bore operators.
- Work safely in an underground mining environment on a roster arrangement which included night shift
- Handling sampling equipment and providing samples to client
- Following companies HSE policies and procedures
- Interpreting prints and planning the work to be completed.
- Identifying and correcting workplace hazards.
- Managing haulage ways and inspect for water and obstructions in raises.
- Operating underground mobile equipment.
- Recognizing loose and/or abnormal ground conditions o faulty ground support.
- Scaling loose rock from walls and roofs.
- Installing, maintaining, operating, and inspecting, hand and power tools, fire extinguishers, air, water, and drain lines.
- Performing basic maintenance on operating equipment including (but not limited to) pre-start checks, refueling, lube fill, washing down and moving.

**Qualifications**:
**Mandatory Training required**:

- **Underground Common Core Modules**:

- Vaild WHMIS 2015 Certificate
- Vaild Fall Protection Certificate
- Valid AWP and/or Telehandler Operator Certificate
- Valid Rigging Training Certificate
- **Drilling Experience is Mandatory**

**First Aid Certificate is an Asset, but not mandatory**

**Other Site Requirements & General Working Conditions**:

- Criminal Records Check Mandatory prior to Hiring
- Pre-employment medicals and drug screening is Mandatory prior to site access.
- Must have Covid 19 Vaccination due to Travel restrictions.
- Ability to work night and day shift is a requirement.
- Must be able to work in high traffic areas in close proximity.
- Camp accommodations provided.
- Must be a team player and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

This full-time position is based at the **_Various Locations_** and successful applicants will be required to work a two-week on, two-week off rotation schedule.
