**Description**:
Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been in operation since 1961. Miller is a leader in waste management and diversion, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Manitoba. Miller has over 50 years of experience in the waste management sector, and currently operates out of more than 30 locations. We are looking for a highly capable Chute Cleaner to be located out of our Etobicoke location in Ontario.

Miller Waste Systems is looking for a Chute Cleaner with 1+ years of experience in the waste services industry and with 1+ years of industrial/commercial cleaning experience. A collaborative but strong nature is essential, and the applicant’s background in service, repair and waste industry will allow them to succeed and grow within Miller Waste.

**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Chute Cleaner your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Cleaning garbage and linen chutes and containers.
- Help with set up and tear down of light equipment at job sites.
- Conducting inspections on recycling equipment such as compactors and garbage chutes, and inspections and repairs on waste dumpster bins.
- Completing quoted service orders and service calls as needed.
- Providing top-tier customer service at all times and communicating with management and maintenance staff at each location.
- Daily circle checks of work vehicles and maintaining the material level of work vehicles.
- Daily use of standard hand tools and pressure washing equipment.

**Requirements**:
The successful applicant will be comfortable with prioritization, planning, coordination, and organization, with an ability to respond and adapt in changing, high pressure environments.

This individual will be able to assess problem situations, recognize issues, and use judgment to create solutions that meet required standards.
- ** Must possess a valid G license in good standing.**:

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Have the ability to work independently and follow procedures.
- WHMIS training is considered an asset.
- Self-motivated and a team player.
- Flexibility is also required as this position occasionally requires travel, early starts, late finishes and, on rare occasions, weekend work.
