**Position Summary**

The Straight Truck Dispatcher is primarily responsible for planning all straight truck outbound and Inbound activities. Overseeing the daily Straight Truck driver tender and providing support to the business and primary dispatch team when required. The position reports to the Operations Manager and provides feedback regarding status updates and areas of opportunity/development.

**Location**: 500 Bayly Street East, Ajax
**Schedule**: 19:00 to 07:00 Modified Work Schedule Sunday to Tuesday (Every second Wednesday)

**What you’ll do**
- Dispatching Straight truck drivers via the Driver App, Dispatch Tool
- Populating Straight Truck driver tender for carriers/warehouse same day and next day deliveries
- Assisting in Backhaul stitching to Perishable drop with later day vendor appts
- Assisting the business with same day request. (inbound/outbound)
- Monitoring Actions Required tab via the Driver App
- Printing and preparing manifests for the primary dispatch in support with LIVE PRINTING
- Answer incoming calls to support all aspects of the business

**What you’ll bring**
- Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Teams, Google Spreadsheets, along with the ability to learn other service management databases
- 6 months of experience in transportation
- Geographic knowledge of Ontario
- Critical thinking and analysis
- Ability to work in a self-direct manner ensuring all tasks are completed
- High professional ethical standard
- Effectively communicate with staff in a face-paced environment
- Highschool diploma or higher
