**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Review new work orders to ensure availability of materials
- Direct day-to-day production operations
- Control flow of paperwork from plant floor
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
- Oversee and coach employees and attend to employee health and safety concerns
- Ensure safe use of all equipment and schedule regular maintenance
- Create purchase orders for raw materials, as required
- Control raw material inventory to ensure resources are used efficiently
- Write non-conformance reports and assist with identifying root cause, as required
- Assist finance with month-end duties, including the completion of work orders for invoicing and raw material inventory

**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**:

- High school education with preference for post-secondary education in relevant field
- 3+ years’ experience as a lead hand or foreman
- Proficiency with computers
- Good communication skills
- Blueprint reading
- Self-starter is essential
- Excellent organization and time management skills
