**Vancouver Christmas Market 2025**

If you have lived in Vancouver for a while, chances are high you've been to the Vancouver Christmas Market. Now in our 15th season, our authentic outdoor German Christmas Market features unique holiday shopping, seasonal entertainment, and delicious traditional food and drinks. Located in the downtown core of Vancouver, at Jack Poole Plaza, the Christmas Market will be open to the public daily from November 13 to December 24.

**Full-Time Employment Opportunity - Guest Experience Coordinator**

**Location**: Full time in office in October & on-site (November - December).

**Hours**:Contract Full Time from October 1 to December 31. Variable work schedule including evenings and weekends.

**Reporting to**:Guest Experience Manager

**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Box Office & Admissions**
- Working with our ticketing provider, help operate back end of ticket sales platform;
- Set-up & programming of box office equipment for onsite sales;
- Working with our Accounting team, coordinate cash handling procedures;
- Run daily sales reports. Disseminate to appropriate teams;
- Coordinate inventory of add-on merchandise;
- Coordinate daily set-up of box office. Actively oversee dynamic timeslot capacities;
- Coordinate admission scanning. Troubleshoot technical issues.

**Groups**
- At the direction of the Marketing & Guest Services Coordinator, meet pre-booked large groups and be available for onsite needs. Assist in fulfilling their pre-purchased product orders;
- Help reserve seating sections for groups and ensure that the space is cleaned and turned over in a timely manner.

**Patron Services**
- Coordinate merchandise sales at VCM operated kiosk;
- Set-up and maintain POS system for onsite sales (Square);
- Coordinate staffing & operations for onsite attractions including the grand carousel;
- Track merchandise inventory.

**Administration**
- Assist with hiring day & onboarding of new staff;
- Ensure staff have appropriate uniform & supplies to carry out duties;
- Training (incl. Box office software & POS);
- Scheduling, shift supervision & break coverage for a team of approximately 30 people;
- Daily shift reports.

**Qualifications**
- **Education and Work Experience**: A university or college degree or diploma in a related field of study with a minimum of 2 years work experience in events, festivals and / or group bookings.
- **Management Experience**: Team leadership and management skills including performance monitoring, goal setting, and mentorship.
- **Technology**: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Square.
- **Planning and Time Management**: Superior project and time management skills with excellent organizational and planning capabilities. Ability to take projects from concept through to final production. Comfortable to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- **Adaptability and Judgment**:Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments, problem-solving skills, and an innovative mindset including exercising good judgment and decision making.
- **Other**:Applicant must have current eligibility to work in Canada. Having a valid driver’s license is an asset. Second Language (German) an asset.

**Compensation**
- Salary: $4000 - $4,500 per month
