Experienced Restoration Contents Technician

**The Job - Cleaner / Packer**

At On Side, Cleaner Packers, also known as Contents Technicians show up every day with a can-do attitude and desire to help. This team does vital work helping clients save precious possessions and memories with empathy, compassion, and hard work. When disaster strikes, Contents Technician teams are deployed to restore order out of chaos and clean up the aftermath. Working on site and in the On Side warehouse means no day or disaster is ever the same.

**Contents Technicians are responsible for**:

- Working with customers to restore personal and commercial items to pre-disaster state
- Packing and cataloging contents from disaster affected areas and creating inventory lists
- Using Encircle Restoration Software
- Cleaning contents and structures
- Cleaning fabrics and têxtiles

**What you bring**:

- Must have 2+ years' experience working in disaster (flood, fire, asbestos, biohazard) restoration
- An optimistic outlook and a real desire to help
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Physically fit (ability to lift, carry and pack boxes) and willingness to follow all company safety requirements
- _Valid driver’s licence & clean drivers abstract_
- _Able to successfully satisfy On Side’s criminal record check requirements_
- _Ability to communicate in English or French (QC) at an intermediate level_

**Of Note**

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- On call

- Are you willing to learn and help other departments if needed: including demolition and debris disposal?
- Are you fluent reading / writing/ speaking English? If no, please rank your skills out of 10
- Have you ever used Encircle (Mobile property restoration and claims documentation software)?
- Please share the tasks and responsibilities you had when previously in the role of a Contents Technician.
- Are you able to work a Rotating On-Call Schedule? (2 days on; 4 days off; alternating weekends) This is additional to scheduled day time hours.

- Contents Technician: 2 years (required)
