We are a general contractor company providing our services to the entire Lower Mainland.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented **Construction Estimator** to advise on the foreseeable cost of each of our major projects. To this end, the construction estimator should obtain all relevant project specifications, determine the most appropriate building materials, and secure favorable prices on all resources. You should also inspect trends in construction to determine whether your estimates are both reasonable and competitive.

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Estimator will be responsible for drafting proposals, collecting all pertinent documents, meeting with clients, and performing risk assessments. All work will be done in compliance with IICRC S500 rules and regulations.
- Job Duties and Responsibilities: _
- Collecting all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications
- Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required
- Deciding on the most appropriate human and material resources for each project
- Obtaining multiple quotes for each of these and then selecting the most suitable offers
- Negotiating with service providers to secure better prices
- Outlining the work plan to gauge how much time will be needed to complete each development
- Performing risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan
- Accounting for the use of our resources, plus a reasonable profit margin to calculate an overarching price
- Drafting proposals that detail envisaged materials, costs, and time frames
- Meeting with clients to discuss their thoughts and concerns about our offers
- English Language
- Ability to use technology and software is required
- Uphold all company policies and procedures;
- Able to work well in team environments as well as independently
- Able to uphold positive business image at all times
- Be available to work overtime when necessary
- Possess a valid B.C. driver’s license with a satisfactory driver abstract
- Job Requirements: _
- Qualification in project management is highly advantageous
- Previous experience as a construction estimator
- Knowledge of relevant technical and non-technical documents
- Outstanding research and proposal writing skills
- Dependable and trustworthy

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Construction: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required
