To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications: - excellent physical condition, able to do heavy lifting, - ability to swim, - mechanically inclined, - experience cleaning and minor maintenance - Pool Operators level 1 an asset. **Duties**: 1. Assists the Aquatic Staff to maintain pool facilities, performing duties, such as, but not inclusive of: a)Disinfects washrooms, change rooms, saunas, showers, and pool deck, b)Makes minor repairs to building and equipment 2. Organizes and maintains equipment and tools; a)Sweeps and maintain entranceways, b)Collects garbage in and around facility, c) Ice and snow removal 3. Performs other odd jobs including minor building maintenance repairs, light touch up painting, and movement of office equipment/supplies; 4. Assist with set up/take down of rentals, events, meetings, etc. a)Vacuums, polishes, cleans floors, walls, stairs, windows, etc., b)Refill soap and toilet paper dispensers, c)Clean drains of debris. 5. Handles dangerous chemicals as instructed and trained 6. Works with mínimal supervision 7. Ability to deal with the public (handle complaints, inquiries, accept deliveries) in a pleasant and courteous manner 8. Performs other duties as assigned from time to time. Salary rate is $14.10 - $15.81 per hour as per Schedule "A" of the collective agreement. Hours of work not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours in a two week period in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 - Inside/Part-time Unit collective agreement.
