- Proactively gather and analyze user requirements to implement system changes, addressing both user needs and emerging business processes.
- Regularly liaise with various departments to assess their system requirements and understand interdependencies.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external agencies, and vendors to ensure continuous system improvements.
- Advocate and implement best practices for system optimization.
- Provide comprehensive technical support to users of AMANDA and its subsystems.
- Train and support departmental staff in utilizing solutions and hardware systems, focusing on enhanced functionality and service delivery.
- Manage system upgrades and develop test scripts to ensure integrity and functionality of new releases/products.
- Facilitate opportunities for integrating AMANDA with other systems.
- Implement processes for data extraction, transformation, and distribution across various data stores.
- Conduct SQL, PL/SQL, JAVA, and Crystal Reports scripting.
- Design and program customized reports, forms, and documents, maintaining a log of changes and modifications.
- Create and maintain scripts for custom reports as per internal and external requirements.
- Develop simple, accurate user manuals and ensure the availability of training resources.
- Design and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes and integrations.
- Build and maintain interfaces, integrating AMANDA into our financial systems.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
**Position Requirements**:
- University degree in Computer Science or similar field of study or a combination of training, education and experience deemed equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years’ progressive experience in systems design, development, support and implementation.
- Minimum three (3) years' progressive experience in a Granicus/AMANDA role with a focus on business process, database administration and advance reporting.
- Business Analyst certification and related Amanda/Granicus certification is an asset.
- Previous experience in a project delivery role like Business Analyst, Developer/Configurator, Tester, Project Manager for a public sector employer or client.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of Granicus Amanda 7 platform and experience integrating it with other technologies.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational and time-management skills, with ability to prioritize and complete tasks with keen awareness for accuracy and attention to details.
- Ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proven completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
**CUPE 157 Pay Group 11 **- Minimum $82,968 annually; Maximum $95,200 annually
**Expected Work Location**:50 Church Street City Hall (eligible for some remote work)
**Hours of Work**:Currently Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
