**ADULTS PROGRAMS ASSISTANT**

POSITION TYPE**:PART-TIME - 24 HOURS A WEEK (possible future growth to permanent) - Flexible to work evenings and weekend as needed**

LOCATION**:Schwartz/Reisman Centre (Bathurst/Rutherford in Vaughan)**

**The Ideal Adult Programs Assistant**:

- At your core, you're a superb **community connector** with a strong flair for helping people and providing exceptional internal **customer service **and **efficient administrative support**.
- You have a degree/diploma in **Administration, Programming, Outreach & Community Work** or similar, or working towards.
- Your **English language** skills are superior, verbal and written.
- You have a demonstrated advanced knowledge and a high comfort level working with **databases, project management technology, Excel spreadsheets and customer retention programs**.
- You are exceptionally detail oriented and able to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
- **Jewish culture, traditions, and a connection to Israel**are evident in your passionate and friendly interactions.
- Moreover, you work collaboratively and are **team oriented**.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Create and actively promote a comfortable and welcoming environment
- Assist the Adult Program Supervisor prepare, deliver and administer quality programs, and events to ensure a positive experience for all participants
- Assist with community events
- Develop relationships with program participants to increase recruitment and retention
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Assist with building a Jewish community by engaging people in the J experience
- Support EMS (room booking) function; process room booking requests, including set-up details
- Liaise with Property Services for events and special program set-up
- Arrange catering for special events and programs food and beverage requirements
- Troubleshoot and proactively and professionally resolve issues as needed.
