Responsibilities and Duties
- Follow greenhouse operation plans, policies, and procedures, including plant care, train and lead staff on policies and procedures.
- Responsible for daily production/harvesting of plants within specifications of customer expectations.
- Perform horticultural tasks associated with the greenhouse and community garden.
- Manage all greenhouse sales following company cash handling procedures
- Grow greenhouse revenues through both retail sales and whole-sale accounts
- Collect, analyze, and maintain data on greenhouse operations for planning and operational decisions; communicate the information to management.
- Maintain inventory of all supplies and manage all costs associated with greenhouse operations
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in horticulture, plant sciences, or agriculture, and greenhouse experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
- Advanced knowledge of concepts about greenhouse operations, quality, and productivity.
- Excellent communication skills; able to speak effectively to employees, managers, and customers
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret operating instructions, training and procedure manuals, and government regulations.
- Be physically fit to handle the demands of the position, which includes carrying 16 kg (35 lbs.) throughout the course of a day and walking 9 - 15 KMs per shift
- Enjoy working with and interacting with the public
