Journeyman/woman Plumber

**Key Responsibilities**

**Installation**:
Install plumbing and drainage systems, pipes, fittings, fixtures, gas lines and plumbing & HVAC appliances.

**Maintenance**:
Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems, including clearing drains and inspecting equipment.

**Repairs**:
Diagnose and repair leaks in pipes, fix water and gas lines, and service plumbing fixtures and HVAC appliances.

**System Planning**:
You will learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout of plumbing systems and identify the best locations for pipe installation without damaging existing structures.

**System Testing**:
Test installed pipes and fixtures for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.

**Troubleshooting**:
Identify and resolve complex plumbing and HVAC issues in various settings.

**Code Compliance**:
Adhere to all plumbing and gas codes and safety regulations.

**Documentation**:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service calls.

**Supervision**:
Supervise and mentor plumbing apprentices and new team members.

**Documentation**:
Maintain records of refrigerant usage and service activities.

**Required Skills and Knowledge**

**Technical Skills**:
Proficient in using hand and power tools, reading blueprints and technical drawings, and understanding various plumbing and HVAC materials and fittings.

**Problem-Solving**:
Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities to find solutions for plumbing and HVAC problems.

**Communication**:
Effectively communicate with clients and team members.

**Customer Service**:
Provide high-quality service to clients and address their concerns to ensure satisfaction and efficient project completion.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**

Y4 Apprenticeship status or Journeyman Plumbing Certificate

Trade or Construction Experience

Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License

**Preferred Qualifications and Education**

Domestic Gas Fitter

General Gas Fitter

Valid First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform

Can operate Loader, Forklift, and Bob Cat

Pay: $34.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
