We are a growing renovations company in Vancouver and we are looking for a **Carpenter** **helper** who can join our team.
We specialize in bathroom and kitchen renovations; home, office and retail renovations; custom furniture, cabinetry and garden structures.

**Job type**:full-time (40 hours per week) and permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour (will be reviewed and discussed based on work experience)

**Schedule**:

- 8-hour shifts
- Day shifts
- Weekdays and sometimes weekends

**Language**: You must be able to speak English fluently.

**COVID-19**:

- We don’t require proof of vaccination
- Some clients require us to wear masks inside

**Job duties may include the following**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences
- Assist with maintenance, repair and renovation of residences and wooden structures;
- Ensuring the work site is kept clean and organized, and materials and tools are packed away at the end of the day.

**Experience**:

- Carpentry: previous work experience (1-2 years) is an asset

**Location of work**:
Various worksites in the Greater Vancouver Regional District
