The Manitoba Islamic Association has launched the MIA Institute of Knowledge, a full-time Islamic educational institution located in Winnipeg, which started operations in September 2023. The school currently serves students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, with a vision to expand to a K to Grade 12 educational system in the coming 6 years. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment where students can flourish as proud Muslim Canadian citizens.

MIA Institute of Knowledge is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching-Vice Principal who can lead by example, delivering inspiring lessons that foster a love for learning while also supporting the school’s administrative and leadership functions.
- Displays strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team of educators.
- Skilled in developing comprehensive unit and lesson plans.
- Proficient in effective classroom management.
- While being a Muslim is not required, familiarity with Islam and its traditions is highly advantageous.
- Possesses strong organizational and administrative skills to support school operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Holds a valid teaching license from any Canadian province or is in the process of obtaining one.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom management.
- Preferable knowledge of the Manitoba elementary curriculum.
- Valuable experience in elementary classroom environments.
- Respectful of Islamic faith and cultural values.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Develops unit and lesson plans in accordance with Manitoba curriculum standards.
- Utilizes a variety of instructional methods to cater to diverse student learning styles.
- Adopts strategies to tailor teaching for diverse learning needs among students.
- Proactively maintains classroom discipline, effectively managing student conflict, disruptions, or misbehavior.
- Assists in school leadership with administrative tasks, including curriculum planning, teacher support, and community engagement.
- Collaborates with staff to ensure the school’s goal of educating academically competent and proud Canadian Muslim leaders is met, encouraging both academic excellence and the development of strong moral character.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in school leadership or administration is an asset.

- A valid Teaching Certificate from a Canadian Province or proof of being in the process of obtaining a valid Manitoba Teacher Certificate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
