Directional Driller

**Looking for Experienced Directional Drillers**

**Responsibilities**
- Load and unload directional bore equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free
- Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner
- Complete Driver’s logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports
- Complete a daily inspection on bore equipment prior to commencing work
- Prepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to boring commencing
- In conjunction with locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and / or duct
- Trouble shoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance or resolution
- Able to operate the drill locater as required
- Able to train locator

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or relevant experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience driving similar type vehicle as the support vehicle / drilling experience
- Previous experience working around existing buried utilities
- Must have previous experience and be proficient in the operation of a directional bore machine (or similar equipment) and associated locate set
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Valid driver's license (Class A with R or Z endorsement is an asset)
- Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencing
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be fully proficient with CVOR and Book 7 requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety training as per legislative and job requirements
- Drilling to grade when required.

**Salary**: $28.80-$35.00 per hour
