Who We’re Looking For.
As a team of about 30 and growing, we’re looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running. You’ll be the go-to person for all things related to our amazing team, from onboarding new hires to keeping the current team happy and productive.
You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives that help us attract and retain top talent, all while ensuring we maintain a fun, positive, and inclusive workplace culture.
You’ll need to have a solid understanding of HR best practices, as well as experience with employee engagement, training and development, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. You should be a natural communicator, a problem solver, and an all-around people person.

What You’ll Be Doing.
- People & Culture is primarily responsible for partnering with the business to design, develop and implement strategies that will attract, engage, and develop employees and build upon a high-performance culture.
- Developing and implementing performance management systems that enable managers to provide feedback to employees, track progress, and set goals.
- Developing and implementing compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent and are competitive in the market.
- Developing and implementing programs that promote a positive work environment and address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
- Analyzing HR data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations and maintaining accurate HR records.
- Developing and implementing programs that promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
- Developing and implementing onboarding and training programs that ensure employees are properly trained and have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Developing and implementing recruitment strategies and processes to attract and retain talented employees.
- Creating and implementing policies and procedures that ensure the company complies with labour laws and regulations and promotes a positive workplace culture.
Skills + Experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Experience developing and implementing employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Experience with training and development program design and delivery.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion initiatives and best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and software, including reporting and analytics.
- Proven track record of creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing and/or mentoring team members.
- Experience with employment law is a plus.
