The responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure all machines, tools, equipment and the entire facility are properly serviced and are in good working order

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Performs maintenance related work in the following areas:

- Machines, equipment and small tools for all departments
- Electrical work
- Plumbing and heating
- Janitorial
- Building maintenance
- Follows written and verbal instructions in an efficient manner
- Performs and records all work according to the preventative maintenance schedule
- Dismantles and assembles machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, power and hand tools and recognizes and reports worn and/or damaged parts
- Responsible for and/or keeps adequate inventory on items required as replacement parts
- Supervise maintenance helpers as required
- Reports abuse and/or negligence to any plant equipment or machines
- Reports and/or corrects any unsafe machines and equipment
- Reads, understands and follows instructions from machining diagrams and equipment manuals
- Works under a minimum amount of supervision
- Overtime as required
- Works both or either shift when required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
