A-1 Cement Contractors Ltd.
is searching for a fulltime Controller. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Day-to-day finance operations, including functional responsibility over accounts payable and receivable
- Payroll, including various types of remuneration; and other human resource related tasks.
- Management of accounting team
- Monthly filing of GST and other government related reporting
- Preparation of monthly departmentalized financial statements, special analyses, and information reports
- Monthly reconciliation and analysis of all general ledger accounts
- Working closely with the external accountant in order to provide timely, and accurate year end statements.
- Developing and maintaining internal controls to ensure integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial data.
- Keeping accounting records in order, ensuring completeness and correctness of all files;
- Property and Equipment Management accounting including leasing and occupancy costs
- Reconciliation of all companies' and subsidiaries' bank records;
- Assist with special projects or reports as required.

To be considered for this position, you will have a minimum of 4 years Canadian work experience;
- as a controller in the construction industry
- using a modular accounting program as well as experience integrating new software
- administrating payroll in Alberta.
- using Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
