Stratford, Canada Barber Collins Security services Ltd. Full time

Barber Collins security is looking for licensed security guards to work casual/on call shifts at a clients location in Stratford.

**Shifts**

Must be able to flexibly commit to the scheduling consisting of:

- Typically, either 8 to 12 hour shifts which could consist of days, afternoon/evenings and nights.
- Must be available to work weekdays/weeknights, weekends and statutory holidays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and complete daily security logs.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access and key control for the facility/area.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols of the facility.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
- Works along side the team leader to complete respective protocols and keep constant communication.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 0-40 per week

**Salary**: $18.35 per hour

- 12 hour shift

- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekend availability
