**Family Law Legal Assistant**

Low Murchison Radnoff LLP, an Ottawa law firm, is looking to add an experienced **Full-Time Family Law Legal Assistant to support two Family Law Lawyers.**

**Primary Duties Include**
- Assist in preparing and assembling documentary evidence, prepare Applications, Affidavits, Case/Settlement/Trial Briefs, Affidavits of Service, Financial Briefs.
- Arranging for motion dates, mediations, examinations, conferences, etc.
- Maintain and keep updated BF system
- Preparing legal correspondence for professionals’ approval/signature, memos to file and file updates
- Preparation and delivery of invoices
- Following up on accounts payable and receivable
- Opening, maintaining and closing files
- Faxing, photocopying, scanning
- Other duties as required

**Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Legal Assistant/Law Clerk diploma/certificate an asset
- Advanced skills in DivorceMate, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Teams/Zoom, with excellent keyboarding and grammar skills
- Experience in Immigration would be considered an asset
- Experience with Legal Aid billing would be considered an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
- Excellent command of the English language is essential
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
