What Does a Cement Tanker Driver Do?
A Cement Tanker Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently picking up cement from various terminals and delivering to our plants and external customers. As an important member of our team, the Cement Tanker Driver works with our dispatch office to ensure supply demands are met. As a Cement Tanker Driver, You Will:
Safely operate a pneumatic cement tanker to deliver dry bulk cement
Safely discharging the cement powder from the tankers into silos
Complete pre and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water
Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner
Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure timely delivery to the correct customer and site
Maintain good working knowledge of the traffic routes of the delivery locations
Strive to meet customer expectations without exception and achieve highly positive customer satisfaction
Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies and perform minor repairs on the tractor and trailer What You'll Bring:
A valid AZ license with clean drivers abstract
Cement Tanker Experience, preferred
Dry Bulk Tanker Experience required
Proven heavy load experience, preferred
Must be highly productive
Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as required
Willingness and ability to perform occasional overnight delivery
Experience with log books etc.
Be a team player with the ability to work without close supervision
