As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to lead and inspire a talented group of individuals, driving success in each project we undertake. **Position Overview** As the Director of Construction, you will be a key member of our production department and leadership team, reporting directly to the President. You will oversee our Project Management Team, including Project Managers, Project Coordinators and our General Superintendent. The General Superintendent ensures that our site resources are optimized for project success. Your primary goals will be to align individual project performance with our company's annual goals and uphold project cooperation, collaboration, and trust. That’s what we’ve done since 1986. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable, embodying Royalty's C.A.R.E.S. values. - Represent the Production Team as a voice on the Leadership Team - Establish core processes and documentation. - Ensure adherence to Royalty's 6 Pillars of Accountability across all projects. - Organize and schedule internal project staffing requirements. - Develop, improve, and manage project management systems and tools. - Mentor, evaluate, onboard, and train project management personnel. - Manage the department budgets. - Forecast project financials and maintain workflow standards. - Provide high-level review of contracts e.g. CCDC 2, 5A and 5B, schedules, and methodologies. **Expectations** - A progressive approach to conscious leadership, empowering team growth and development - A proactive approach to communications and a strong communicator both written and verbal. - Ability to lead and enforce Royalty's 6 Pillars of Accountability. - Report on project performance related to client satisfaction, schedule adherence, and financial metrics. - Uphold a spirit of cooperation, collaboration, and trust on all projects. - Lead production meetings and attend weekly leadership meetings. - Remove barriers for the production team and advise leadership of potential problems. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
