As the Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the planning, creation, execution, and tracking all marketing initiatives and campaigns for Tourism Regina. The Marketing Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting in the delivery and execution of all marketing, communication, and social media platforms to effectively position the Tourism Regina brand, increase destination awareness and impact of designated sectors in the Greater Regina Area (GRA).
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Provide support for tourism marketing initiatives for the Greater Regina Area (GRA).
- Assist the Brand and Marketing Manager to implement marketing strategies both inside and outside of Regina (50 km+).
- Implement Tourism Regina social media strategies on all communication platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter.
- Lead Tourism Regina social content creation which includes copywriting, elements of graphic design, photography, videography, and editing.
- Assist in social media data and metric monitoring in terms of reach, impressions, engagement, etc.
- Support the management and maintenance of the Tourism Regina website.
- Provide support to Tourism Regina’s Event Activation Team by activating at events, festivals, and other city-wide functions.
- Performing other duties as allocated.
**WHAT IT TAKES**
- Bachelor’s degree and/or certificate in Business with a focus on Marketing, Public Relations/Communication, or similar area.
- 2 to 4 years’ demonstrated experience in digital marketing and social media is required.
- Experience with social media software such as Content Cal, Hootsuite, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact is an asset.
- Computer proficiency required including advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, and various marketing platforms (example: Canva).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of marketing and communications principles.
- Has a passion for our city, Regina.
- Independent, creative self-starter that is adaptable and welcoming of new ideas.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas when summarizing complex issues.
- Creativity in developing of marketing concepts and strategies.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills including demonstrated experience in writing business documentation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
