**The Opportunity**:
**The Role**:
Reporting to the Field Supervisor, the Cat Vacuum Truck Operator is responsible for operating the cat vac units in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner.

**Accountabilities**:

- Follow and comply with all government legislation, internal policies, and site procedures
- Participate in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections, prior to commencing any job
- Responsibly transport, load, and offload fluid, at different locations throughout the mine
- Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner; including, but not limited to, logs, daily reports, FLHA, and inspections.
- Perform thorough equipment inspections
- Safely operate equipment on mining roads in wet, dry, dusty, and frozen conditions
- Must be capable of working independently and demonstrate a professional demeanor
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision and as required by operational demands

**Requirements and Competencies**:

- Class 5 drivers license required.
- Previous mine experience an asset.
- Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing will be required.
- 5-year commercial driver’s abstract will be required.
- Required to work outside in all weather conditions
- CSO, BSO, or OSSA Regional required
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts consisting of both days and nights
- Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be physically able to perform all duties.

**Schedule**:

- 5 consecutive days, followed by 5 nights, and 5 days off.

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fort McMurray, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- driving in the mine: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSO (preferred)
- TDG Certification (preferred)
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (required)
- Night Shift (required)
