Finning Canada is looking for a passionate Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician to join our industry leading team in Estevan, SK. This role will be responsible for disassembly and assembly, maintenance and diagnostics of a variety of Caterpillar equipment in a shop environment.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions
- Disassembley and assembly of CAT Used Equipment including (but not limited to): drives, brakes, components
- Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with internal and external customers
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Specific Skills & Experience
- Journeyperson Red Seal HET certification required
- Ability to manage time and priorities
- Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
- Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
- Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
- Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
- Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
