**POSITION: Financial Analyst - Permanent**
**PROGRAM: Administration**
**REPORTS TO: Director of Finance and Operations**
**WORK HOURS: 35 hours/week - Monday to Friday**

Dixie Bloor Neighborhood Centre is an accredited, nonprofit multi-service agency with a wide variety of funders providing a full range of programs in Mississauga.

**JOB SUMMARY**:

- Accurate and timely month-end closing, JEs, account reconciliation
- Bank transactions, Banking JEs, Bank Reconciliation
- Effective and efficient reporting, both internal and external of Dixie Bloor programs
- Timely Review and Analysis of various Programs
- Control, Documentation and input of major accounting functions.
- Monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Preparation and presentation assistance of annual budgets and amendments
- External audit preparation and assisting field work

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Preparation of worksheets and supporting documentation to ensure compliance of monthly billing/claims to funders
- Monthly reconciliation and regular and adjusting entries of claims in accounting system.
- GL maintenance and monitoring GL transaction
- Assisting financial statements and board package preparation
- Preparation of ministry reporting
- External and internal reporting requirements associated with agency programs
- Revenue recognition and receivable management for assigned programs
- Administration allocations and general ledger entries
- Accounts Payable processing
- Monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Collection and input of budget data
- Payroll related functions such as WSIB, EHT reporting etc. and assisting payroll administrator in bi-weekly payroll process
- Assist external annual audit
- Filing and storing documents
- Other Ad-hoc duties as and when needed

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachler degree in accounting and business administration
- Level 2 and above in CPA/CGA/CMA program
- 2-5 years’ experience in a progressive accounting environment in similar capacity is a MUST
- Previous hands-on experience with non-profit reporting, especially federal and provincial governments
- Payroll certification will be desirable
- Strong Excel experience
- Great Plains and ADP experience preferred
- Punctual, meticulous, willingness to learn and accept more tasks, and reliable
- Positive position and proven ability to work within a team environment
- Should work with mínimal supervision

Salary will commensurate with previous experience.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Accounting and Finance: 2 years (preferred)
- stimulating financial scenarios and forecasts: 2 years (preferred)
- external and internal reporting: 2 years (preferred)
- Monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations: 2 years (preferred)
- administration allocations and general ledger entries: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred)
