Ohspa Retail/guest Service Supervisor

**Objective**:
Ohspa is built upon friendly, professional service, a soothing, light environment and high quality natural organic products. As we strive to be at the forefront of a complex and vastly changing industry, we are looking for a dynamic retail/guest services supervisor, a real people-person with an appreciation for our brand. We are looking for someone who is passionate about merchandising and who also loves client interaction and spa operations.
Specifically, we would like to expand our reputation for providing highly reputable organic skin care and related products to become the #1 retail Spa in the Comox Valley. To reach our goal, we need the best talent on our team to boldly help advance our retail presence.
Additionally, we want to ensure the very best customer service for our guests. This entails embracing a “front-of-house“ focus, from leveraging our booking system and creating a trusting relationship with our clients to overseeing your front desk team and building relationships with our practitioner and aestheticians.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Retail Focus**
- In collaboration with spa professionals, research new product lines and maintain great supplier relationships.
- Ensure Ohspa retail shop is dynamic and engaging, well-stocked, and organized.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to create frequent promotions and offers to drive business.
- Participate in month-end inventory.
**Guest Services Focus**
- Collaborate: Support and collaborate with the Ohspa Manager.
(Ex. In absence of Spa Manager complete necessary duties outlined on Managers daily / weekly / monthly checklist/Assist with reviewing and correcting day end reports)
- Supervise: Direct, train, and coordinate your front desk team.
- Best Guest Experience: Ensure efficient guest experience from booking to check out while meeting established standards of service.
- Run a Tight Ship: Ensure that all front-of-housepolicies and procedures are in place and adhered to
- Create responsible revenue growth: Practice the fundamental principles of revenue management and utilize revenue management techniques to maximize bookings and average spend while maintaining a high quality of guest service. Example: Ensure peak day/hour conversion through training and development of front desk associates
- Enjoy Problem Solving: Lead the guest problem resolution processes, to ensure that guest service opportunities are resolved quickly and addressed effectively.
- Communicate: Encourage inter-departmental cooperation and communication so that customer service and overall guest satisfaction is at an optimum.
- Be the Neat Freak: Ensure the spa is tidy and looking its best.
- Bring out the Team’s Best: Assist in facilitating staff meetings.
**Preferred Education & Qualifications**:
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience in a spa setting desirable
- 2-3 years retail experience required
- Experience in using Point of Sale Systems - Book4Time as an example
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, network systems required
- Strong abilities to prioritize tasks, meet all deadlines, and attention to detail and analytical skills are required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required as are strong customer service focus and problem resolution skills
- Excellent leader and coach who has a passion to bring out the best in their teammates and themselves
