**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
Responsible for all hourly payroll functions at the Port Hope facility.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES**:

- Comply with the facilities World Class Manufacturing principles in order to meet the established targets and objectives.
- Complete Labour Cost Data as required by HR/Controller.
- Calculate all medical and OHSA monies for medical department.
- Process annual payments/special pays to hourly employees.
- Implement any required changes to payroll/time and attendance systems.
- Prepare bank deposits as required.
- Complete cash flow estimate and request P/R wires.
- Complete assigned account analysis/misc. journal entries.
- Being administrative support for Payroll Supervisor.
- Ensure all hourly employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Ensure all remittances are made correctly and on time.
- Ensure all account analysis are completed and on time.
- Records of Employment;
- Co-ordinate information with HR to produce ROE
- Edit and issue electronic ROE for hourly employees
- Handle all inquiries from Service Canada
- Union Dues;
- Issue cheque to Union Treasurer on 10th day of each month
- Administer Hourly T-4 process and Year End Reports;
- Ensure that all hourly employee payroll records are correct and balanced
- Complete year-end package to Payroll Systems by due date
- Notify payroll provider to run T-4’s
- Make necessary address changes and mail T4’s
- Administer Time and Attendance System;
- Input hours to payroll system and check balancing
- Ensure time and attendance system is reviewed before weekly upload
- Train all new users on time and attendance system and provide a user profile
- Arrange all service calls and maintenance
- Update time and attendance with all status changes
- RRSP/DPSP;
- Issue cheques and backup weekly to CanadaLife
- Process hourly payroll;
- Key in adjustments and prepaid/voids to payroll system
- Sort hourly payroll cheques by department and distribute
- Calculate and issue hourly vacation pays
- Address all hourly associates inquiries
- Upload all hourly journal entries
- Assist in the preparation of all payroll audits
- Set up new payroll cycle

**JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge/Skill/Experience)**:

- Minimum Secondary School Diploma; Payroll Compliance Practitioner (CPA course)
- One year related experience
- Good communication skills
- Superior problem solving skills

**MENTAL AND PHYSICAL EFFORT & WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable on a daily basis. Factory machines can be quite loud.
- Work near others. They often share the same work space.
