Aggregates are a vital resource in Ontario used for construction of highways, water mains, dams and airports, as well as residential, industrial and institutional buildings. The Integrated Aggregate Operations Section (IAOS) manages aggregate licence and permit approvals for Ontario. In this role you will support aggregate resources licensing and permitting and provide input into the delivery of the aggregate program. How do I qualify? **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:Knowledge**: - You possess demonstrated ability to understand theories, methodologies, policies and practices in the field of aggregates resource management, planning and earth sciences. - You have knowledge and experience with risk management and risk assessment principles and methodologies to make recommendations regarding complex issues. **Problem solving and analytical skills**: **Analytical and planning skills**: - You possess planning and coordination skills to assist in developing, implementing and monitoring operational procedures and work program planning and reporting requirements relevant to aggregate resources management. - You have reasoning and problem-solving skills to analyse information and make recommendations to management. **Communications and interpersonal skills**: - You possess communication skills to consult and provide advice and recommendations to other staff and stakeholders on projects, assist in developing planning policies and manuals, and deliver presentations. - You have written communication skills to create presentations, draft briefing notes, correspondence, reports and review policy and program requirements. **Computer skills**: - Working knowledge of computer software packages including MS-Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and GIS; **Additional Information**: **Eligibility**: - Proof of eligibility to work in Canada; - Has graduated or will graduate from an approved or legally authorized college or university with a degree, postgraduate certificate or diploma within the last four years; - Are not a permanent employee in the Ontario Public Service.
