Integrated Geomatics Inc. has a permanent, full-time opportunity for an Intermediate Biologist or Environmental Professional to join our growing environment team based out of Edmonton OR Grande Prairie, Alberta. In this position, the successful applicant will complete a wide variety of pre-planning and environmental services including fisheries assessments, wetland assessments, wildlife sweeps, and soil surveys. The successful applicant will work in a hybrid capacity with frequent field travel when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct field assessments including but not limited to wetlands, watercourses, wildlife, vegetation, and soils.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and provide project status updates and recommendations.
- Analyze and interpret field data and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Produce professional, technical reports.

Qualifications:

- Registration or eligibility for registration as a RPF, P.Biol. or P.Ag.
- Previous experience completing one of more of the above-mentioned field assessments.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with exceptional time management skills.
- Experience working as an environmental monitor for construction projects is an asset.
- Proficient in technical writing.
- General understanding and knowledge of regulatory policies and regulations pertaining to Alberta’s Water Act, Wildlife Act, Wetland Policy, and the federal Fisheries Act.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and independently, as required.
- Ability to conduct fieldwork in remote locations, travel between project locations, and physically capable and competent to work in a variety of environmental conditions.

All field equipment, tools, and a vehicle will be provided.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
