**Aide-enseignante - aide-enseignant**

L'aide enseignant est responsable d'assister l'enseignant ou l’enseignante dans ses tâches, relève directement de la direction de l'école. Il collabore au processus décrit dans le plan d’enseignement individualisé (PEI) ainsi qu’aux modifications et adaptations appropriées. Il aide l’élève dans les activités d’apprentissage selon les directives de l’enseignante ou de l’enseignant.

**Principales responsabilités**
- Assister l'enseignant ou l’enseignante dans ses tâches, relève directement de la direction de l'école
- Collaborer au processus décrit dans le plan d’enseignement individualisé (PEI) ainsi qu’aux modifications et adaptations appropriées.
- Aide l’élève dans les activités d’apprentissage selon les directives de l’enseignante ou de l’enseignant
- Appuyer et noter les réalisations et les progrès de l’élève face aux attentes décrites dans le PEI
- Assiste l'enseignante ou l’enseignant dans son travail de discipline et de surveillance pendant les périodes d'étude et les activités spéciales et assure en tout temps un environnement sécuritaire pour l’élève.

**Exigences de l'emploi**

**Formation**:
Détenir un diplôme d’études collégiales de deux ans à titre d’aide-enseignant ou une certification dans un domaine pertinent sera considérée

Expérience:
Avoir de l’expérience de travail auprès d’enfants en milieu scolaire et/ou auprès d’enfants ayant des troubles d’apprentissage et de comportement;
Avoir de l’expérience auprès des jeunes adolescents
Avoir de l’expérience dans une classe clinique

**Exigences particulières**:
Excellente maîtrise du français et de l’anglais oral et écrit

Excellentes habiletés de communication

Être en bonne forme physique pour soulever un enfant au besoin
Être capable de restreindre un enfant en crise
Être en mesure d'apporter des soins physiques au besoin
Être capable de résoudre sur place des conflits entre élèves
Démontrer une habileté à maintenir une discipline ferme et à établir des rituels constants dans un climat calme
