**Position Summary**

The Golf Shop Attendant’s primary function is to assist with the daily operation of the golf course. Their focus will be on properly checking-in guests and members for play, as well as booking in future rounds of golf and assisting with the organization and sales of merchandise. They will act as a guest service representative to all members and guests.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Books starting times- Checks in golf guests and golf members- Assists with recording Golf Shop inventory- Counts and tracks incoming inventory of all pro shop merchandise- Prices each item before it goes out into the shop- Answers Golf Shop telephones- Informs the Assistant Golf Professional of any items that need to be reordered- Provides exceptional and professional service to our guests and hosts- Ensures the well-being of our guests and hosts by being alert to and reporting potential hazards- Comfortable making decisions and develops recommendations for effective problem solving- Ensures up to date knowledge of point of sale system- Maintains up to date knowledge of resort and its amenities- Maintains a professional appearance at all times- Completes special projects in a timely manner as requested- Complete all other duties as required

**Education & Experience**Knowledge of golf merchandise and golf equipment an asset- Previous experience at a golf course an asset- Experience handling credit card and debit transactions- Experience working with computers and POS systems

- Guest oriented with an outgoing, sincere, helpful, caring and friendly personality- Able to work well with others- Able to take initiative within given guidelines- Pays precise attention to detail, order and cleanliness- Has exceptional energy, flexibility and professionalism- Enjoys offering exceptional service and meeting the needs of others- Has effective communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)- Has exceptional phone manner- Has strong selling skills and has knowledge of golf shop merchandise- Able to comfortably work with computers- Able to adapt in a fast pace, constant changing environment within a dynamic work schedule- Able to maintain composure and objectivity- Able to handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary- Able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately- Is flexible with their schedule, able to work long hours, shift work, evenings, weekends and holidays as business levels require

**Visa Requirements**: Must be eligible to work in Canada
