**POSITION**: Full-Time Program Instructor (Residential) (Union Position)

**RATE OF PAY**: $24.33 /hour

**CURRENT LOCATION**: North York

**HOURS AND DAYS OF WORK**

Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (40 hours per week)

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma or degree program in a related field (Developmental Services Worker, Social Service Worker, Community Service Worker, Behavioural Science, Recreation and Leisure)
- At least one (1) year experience working with individuals that have developmental disabilities.
- Should have one (1) year experience working in a day program setting and developing curriculum
- Strong written and oral communication as well as problem solving skills
- Must have experience dealing with challenging behaviours because of possibility of working with aggressive clients
- Must have the ability to work as a team and independently
- Must have a valid G driver’s license
- French language is an asset

**JOB DUTIES**
- To work hands on with individuals that have developmental disabilities and high support in daily needs in a residential day program environment
- This is currently an all-male residential group home.
- Responsible for liaison with other professionals and families
- Responsible for paper work, attending meetings and other related duties
- Responsible for developing and implementing curriculum and providing personal health care
- Responsible for transporting clients in company vans to outings and to/from programs
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene and support in daily living as needed.

**Salary**: From $24.33 per hour
