**Database Specialist**:
Job Description: Tero Consulting Ltd, a BC based CMMS software developer, has an opportunity for a data specialist.

As a data specialist, you will be responsible for working with our IT/Server admin team and our Application Development team, providing database design, integration, optimization, and reporting, in a Microsoft Windows / SQL Server environment.

Specific Duties include:

- Integrating data from various sources into the Azzier backend database servers, for client data migration.
- Developing views/queries/reporting to provide clients data access from within Azzier and through external access using Power BI, Excel, etc.
- Analyzing database requirements to provide optimization of structure & indexing.
- Evaluating and implementing alternate cloud storage and data solutions, including AWS, Azure, Google, and other top db providers.

This is a full-time position that requires the applicant to work remotely from their office. Tero is open to working with an independent contractor for this role as well.

Qualifications we are seeking:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Science & Technology, or equivalent working experience
- At least 3 years full life-cycle experience on SQL server and other relational database servers (Azure, Oracle, etc.).
- Competence in working with complex SQL scripts, view, triggers, stored procedures, etc.
- Competence in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Competence in working with front end connected tools, such as Power BI, MS Excel, etc. for both internal and client facing data access solutions.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

Required skill(s):

- Proficient with SQL Server, ASP.NET, C#, XML

Preferred skill(s):

- Well versed in Oracle, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
- At least 1 year programming experience using ASP.NET framework (C#)

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
