We have a wonderful career opportunity available at Westwood Veterinary Hospital We are searching for an experienced, dynamic, and energetic Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist for a full-time position (32-40 hours/week) at our clinic. We are a busy three-doctor practice open 6 days a week, with a tightly-knit and supportive team. This is the perfect opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, yet encouraging environment where learning and development opportunities are endless.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide excellent, knowledgeable, professional customer care.
- Assist with starting appointments, surgery preparation and lab work.
- Maintain and update client records both in physical filing system and in practice management software.
- Maintain clinic social media accounts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
- Assist with patient care when needed.
- Have successfully completed a Veterinary Office Assistant program.
- Have prior veterinary assistant experience, including knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Be comfortable handling animals.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
- Be a punctual, dependable quick learner who is able to multitask effectively.
- Be comfortable working under pressure, while keeping calm.
- Be able to work Saturdays.
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
