Requisition ID: 198008 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Position: Vice President, Enterprise Data** **Purpose**: Customer Insights Data & Analytics (CID&A) seeks a visionary leader to drive the organization's enterprise data strategy and leverage cloud technologies to empower data-driven decision-making and innovation. The Vice President, Enterprise Data (Cloud-Focused) will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data model strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of data assets across the organization. **Strategy and Governance**: - Define and implement an enterprise data model strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. - Establish data architecture principles, standards, and best practices. - Ensure the scalability, flexibility, and effectiveness of the data model to support evolving business needs. - Collaborate with business leaders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with the enterprise data model strategy. - Communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Facilitate collaboration between data modelers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve common data objectives. - Establish and lead a Data Modeling Council responsible for workstream design, standards approval, domain ownership, and data governance. Domain Management: - Establish and maintain the enterprise data domain model, including entities, attributes, relationships, and data quality rules. - Develop and enforce processes for model governance, including change management, version control, and documentation. - Ensure consistency and integrity of data across the enterprise by enforcing model standards. - Collaborate with IT teams to integrate data models into existing and new technology architectures. **Data Quality and Assurance**: - Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy for enterprise data models. - Evaluate and ensure data model integrity, accuracy, and completeness. - Establish and communicate quality standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data consistency and reliability. **Risk Management**: - Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with the organization's risk culture and risk appetite. - Communicate the organization's risk culture and risk appetite statement to team members. - Create an environment that promotes effective risk management practices and compliance with operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk. **Education & Other Information**: - Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience in enterprise data modeling, architecture, and governance. - Proven expertise in cloud-based data technologies, including data integration, data quality, and data modeling. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to engage executives and stakeholders effectively. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
