Site Acquisition Specialist

LandSolutions is looking to hire a **Site Acquisition Specialist** to support our Telecommunications division in** Manitoba **and will work on our various National Programs. **The Role**

The primary purpose of this role is to negotiate and to acquire real estate agreements and to support public consultation (if required) on behalf of various clients in the fast-paced and growing Telecommunications industry. This role involves progressing projects by dealing with various stakeholders from clients and landowners to government agencies, as well as organizing and controlling project activities under the direction of the Program Manager and working as part of a team including Coordinators, Land Analysts, and Municipal Affairs Specialists.
- Telecommunications site selection for wireless greenfield, rooftop, small cell, and in-building facilities (includes search ring, civil and RF requirements analysis)
- Execute Right of Entry (RoE) and Right of Way (RoW) site acquisition for wireline (fiber) projects
- Proactively interface with clients for all matters pertaining to project execution
- Review and assess our clients' documents to determine the type of agreement(s) or notice(s) required
- Negotiate and acquire agreements for macro, micro, small cell greenfield towers and rooftops, in-building wireless systems, and for incremental rooftop equipment
- Thoroughly and accurately prepare agreements, notifications and letters required for acquisition of ground space rights, rooftop amendments, or renewal amendments in a timely manner
- Assemble handover packages including agreements and all appropriate supporting documentation for transmittal to clients
- Order, interpret and assess survey plans to determine appropriate requirements for a project and request all required notifications and consents
- Order, interpret and assess development permit drawings to determine appropriate requirements for projects
- Maintain status reports and internal database for clients and managers
- Communicate with surveyors, engineers, and other land personnel with respect to the needs and requirements of active projects

**Required**
- Two to four years of experience in Wireless Site Acquisition and Wireline RoE, within Manitoba (urban and rural experience)
- Post-secondary education in Land, Business, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Marketing or a related field
- Strong background with real estate acquisitions and legal agreements for both freehold and Crown land
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and objective outlook who can build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and can implement sound negotiations
- Familiarity with process, protocol and regulations pertaining to Telecommunications Public Consultation and Indigenous Peoples consultation
- Strong working knowledge of GPS and graphics software, MS365, SharePoint and Teams
- Duties may include working under tight deadlines and time constraints
- Able to travel when required
- Able to work outside of normal business hours when required
