**Job Overview**
The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg is currently recruiting certified Health Care Aides for several permanent part-time and casual positions, evening shifts.

**Duties**
- Assist Residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Residents' well-being and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help Residents with mobility, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to Residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist Residents with their meals, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for Residents by adhering to hygiene/infection control and safety protocols.
- Document Resident care activities accurately in accordance with our Home's policies.

**Qualifications**
- Successful completion of a Health Care Aide training program - certificate required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Residents, families, and healthcare colleagues.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals in need of care.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is an asset.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.09-$23.29 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
