**Job Purpose**:
**The Manager, Operational Reporting is a key role within the Corporate Reporting function. The core responsibilities include**:
- Producing Operational Reporting and Analysis for the Project Delivery.
Supporting dashboard development and intake process on dashboards across different business units (i.e., Project Delivery, Development, Real Estate and Lending).
Managing the team, relationships with business and functional leaders, applicable systems, and data governance to produce Operational Reporting and Analysis accurately and timely.
Working on components of the Balance Scorecard, Balance Scorecard Management View, and Performance Reporting for the Board, Executive Management Team (EMT),Infrastructure and Commercial Projects Committee (ICPC), and Ministry of Infrastructure (MOI) by aggregating Operational Reporting and elucidating key issues.
Working closely with various internal and external stakeholders including the IO business units and external stakeholders like the Ministry of Infrastructure (MOI).
Leading the automation of reporting processes through the new PMIS system (Kahua).
Identifying impacts of potential changes to reporting processes/frameworks that impact Corporate/Enterprise Reports used by Management for decision-making.
**What You Will Do**:
- Lead, and grow a high-performing team of reporting professionals, including performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Lead the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycle, including formulation of the presentations and effectively communicating timelines
- Partner with the internal stakeholders to define business requirements for Operational Reporting and dashboard development for Project Delivery.
- Support dashboard development and manage intake on dashboards across different business units.
- Develop Operational Reporting that supports the management of the business, decision support, risk assessment, and execution of IO’s longer-term strategic plan.
- Develop and improve Operational Reporting for Project Delivery that aggregates key project information and risks to support Board Reporting, Committee Reporting (ICPC), EMT Performance Reporting, and reporting to MOI.
- Develop strategies for data collection systems that optimize efficiency and data quality.
- Improve reporting by identifying inefficiencies and automating manual processes.
- Spearhead re-engineering of key processes within the Corporate Reporting team on Operational Reporting.
- Lead and support projects as the expert from Corporate Reporting by participating in project teams and recommending approaches to integrate processes and achieve effective outcomes
- Collaborate with the Quality Management team to regularly update reporting guidelines and align with the enterprise-wide reporting framework.
**Who We're Looking For**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce or other relevant discipline.
- MBA is an asset.
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience, with a focus on operational reporting and automation
- 3 years experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
- Experience leading and supporting projects.
- Strong data management skills, including self-serve analytic tools (e.g., Power BI), programming, and data environments exposure (e.g., SQL, VBA).
- Experience creating executive/board level and operational reports (dashboards) and presenting to senior management.
