**LINE COOK/ PREP COOK (Squamish)**

Evans Lake is hiring a Second Cook for our upcoming season, at our camp in Squamish. This is a great opportunity to learn and work, while providing delicious meals for large groups of 40 - 120 people. This could be a great step forward in expanding your culinary career, as we cater events of all sizes, from kid’s camps to weddings to corporate groups._

**GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Assist the Head Chef and First Cook in the preparation of meals for groups of 40 up to 120.

Help with the set-up of meals, including buffet and family style meals.

Receive food orders and rotate stock.

Follow standards for food safety, presentation and quality.

Assist with maintaining an organized, efficient and sanitary kitchen.

**REQUIREMENTS**

A positive attitude and a love for food/kitchen life.

Clear criminal records check upon hire, with vulnerable sector search.

1+ years food service experience.

Own transport to Evans Lake if not living at camp, as we are not accessible by public transportation.

**ASSETS**

Food Safe: Level 1 certificate.

Experience working with special diets/ allergy awareness.

**POSITION DETAILS**

Competitive Wage: $19 - $25/hour, based on experience/education.

Contract, full-time position (40 hours/week) from early May to late-October.

Private accommodation, rent free, with meals available (no charge) when groups onsite.
