You’re a passionate advocate for safety and understand how to plan maintenance work effectively to ensure the reliable operation of both Electric and Gas assets. Your top-notch strategic thinking and leadership skills help you to identify and prioritize risks as you build out maintenance strategies, and you’re always analyzing processes and to find opportunities to streamline your work, while leading our Maintenance Planning team. We want someone like you to join as our Maintenance Planning Manager.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of FortisBC’s Electric and Gas assets. In year 1, you will:
Gain familiarity with our Gas and Electric assets and build experience supporting day-to-day operations.
Work with your team and other internal groups (Operations, Asset Management, Engineering and others) to establish priorities for improvement with respect to the various types of maintenance for Gas and Electric assets.
Work with your team and other internal groups (Operations, Asset Management, Engineering and others) to develop 5-year maintenance plans (including spare parts) both Electric & Gas side, and you will plan to implement those plans. In year 2, you will:
Develop KPI’s to monitor progress in implementing the 5-year plan.
Develop and support maintenance aspects (including spare parts) related to capital projects. What it takes:
A Professional Engineer certification along with a minimum of 8 years of related and recent experience.
A sound understanding of maintenance planning and reliability skills and associated tools (FMEA’s,RCM/RBD’s)
Previous experience with SAP or another computerized maintenance management system.
Excellent strategic thinking and collaboration skills to plan maintenance strategies and partner with departments on larger capital projects.
The ability to train and mentor less experienced members of the team.
