**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Languages: English

Education: Minimum high school

Work experience: At least a year of management, supervisory, or other leadership experience

**Duties**:

- Assist manager in planning, directing and evaluating the store operations
- Oversee hiring and training of new staff and assigning duties
- Responsible for staff training and performance
- Study market trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
- Assist in operational budgeting and prepare sales and expense reports
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies
- Maintain vendor and customer relationships and resolve complaints
- Responsible for the ordering, inventory and sale of store merchandise
- Flexible to work on rotating schedule including night shifts, weekends and holidays
- Other store management duties as required.

**Skills**:

- Ability to supervise 2-3 employees.
- Able to manage store alone in manager's absence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding leadership and management skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze sales statistics.
- Basic accounting and budgeting skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evenings
- Morning shift
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brooks, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
