About the Telfer School of Management

The Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa is located in the heart of Ottawa and is the proud academic home of some 4,300 students,200 faculty members, over 100 staff members, and over 30,000 alumni.

**Position Purpose**:
Reporting to the Director of Student Services Center, the incumbent initiates and builds strong student and business relationships with various organizations while developing effective recruitment strategies to raise the employment rate of Telfer students and alumni.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:
Plans and initiates proactive strategies and programs in order to build privileged alliances with local, national and international employers. Acts as an ambassador of the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa with business leaders in order to promote the public image of the School and to support the job recruiting of its students and alumnae.

Explores and develops networking strategies with employer groups (ex. Ottawa-Carleton Research Innovation, the Chamber of Commerce of Ottawa-Carleton, etc.) in order to locate openings for our students and our alumnae.

Ensures the correct understanding of the specific requirements for each employer in order to developing particular strategies according to their needs.

**What you will bring**:
Excellent knowledge of business administration normally acquired a University degree, preferably in business, and five years’ related experience

Excellent knowledge of public and private sector organizations, employment practices, potential trends, challenges and opportunities

Knowledge and experience regarding generating business and establishing strong client relationships in various business sectors

Experience in customer service

Experience in developing and implementing strategies

Strong leadership qualities

Flexibility and adaptability to ever-changing client needs

Maturity, good judgment, creativity, confidence and poise

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment

Good problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Willingness to travel; valid driver’s licence

Flexible schedule, to participate in events on evenings and weekends

Bilingualism — English and French (spoken and written)
