We are a growing organization and currently looking for a passionate and motivated **General Manager & VP Warehousing Solutions** **to join our winning team.

The General Manager & VP Warehousing Solutions oversees the successful operation and is directly responsible for the Profit & Loss (P&L) for their warehouse facilities, ensuring strong alignment with overall company vision, mission, strategy and culture. Working in partnership with the Business Development Team, they provide operational leadership on new business opportunities and customer solutions. They work closely with each warehouse management team, providing overall direction and oversight on the customer experience, planning, decision-making, continuous improvement, policy compliance, leadership and employee engagement.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leads and promotes a culture where Health & Safety is the #1 priority. Provides leadership and support for Health & Safety at their designated facilities.
- Oversees, supports and ensures overall compliance with the company’s Health & Safety policies, and related legislation.
- Partners with national and regional Health & Safety leads to implement incident prevention programs and communicate annual safety Key Performance Indicators and training initiatives.
- Oversees, supports and ensures full compliance with the Code of Business Conduct, company policies and procedures, and all statutes and legislation governing the workplace.
- Partners with Regional Chief Engineer to ensure implementation and maintenance of company standards for the building envelope, including sanitation, maintenance, security, refrigeration equipment and facilities, in a manner that results in a safe and efficient operation.
- Reports issues related to the building envelope to Regional Chief Engineer for resolution, and establishes a specific follow up plan to ensure resolution and reduce the impact on operations.
- Partners with national and regional Food Safety leads to endorse and ensure implementation of various Cold Chain Assurance programs across all sites. Ensures audits are responded to appropriately and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Translates the company vision and mission into a regional strategy and plan, including the development of goals and objectives for all teams and individuals to align them with the corporate direction.
- Provides overall direction, support, coaching and leadership to their management teams to achieve prescribed objectives and align department and individual efforts to the vision, mission, strategy and culture.
- Develops and implements positive employee relations by ensuring that effective communication cascades throughout direct reports and all sites.
- Monitors, measures, coaches and develops direct reports, ensures adherence to policies and procedures, provides recognition, evaluates and provides feedback on performance, addresses performance concerns and resolves problems. Participates in the hiring, training and development of staff.
- Ensures SMART Goals are in place for all incentive-eligible employees.
- Oversees and is accountable for the ongoing leadership and career development of talent in their Region, including succession planning and ensuring a strong leadership pipeline. Partners with HR for support and to ensure participation and alignment with company programs.
- Partners with Human Resources to implement positive employee relations at non-union sites and participates in the review of various employment policies from time to time (at applicable sites).
- Partners with Human Resources to maintain strong union relations and participates in Collective Bargaining sessions (at applicable sites).
- Builds and maintains personal network and promotes brand awareness in the community by participating in industry associations, community projects and charitable initiatives.
- Champions company-wide programs for increasing employee engagement, communications and people development.
- Leads their warehouse facilities in providing the highest levels of customer service, both internally and externally, with the goal of continuously improving the customer experience.
- Partners with existing customers to understand and prioritize their needs, participating in regular calls and meetings as appropriate. Plays a leadership role in partnering with the Business Development team on quarterly customer reviews.
