**Some of what you will do**:
The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day production operations within the Print hub production centre. They plan, schedule, and oversees all production activities. This includes providing essential functions to ensure a no-compromise approach to delivering orders when promised and configured as ordered. The Production Manager provides leadership, coaching and directs the activities of a team of Production Supervisors.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Accountable for the on-time delivery of jobs that are configured as ordered.
- Creates a work environment that fosters team work and individual skills development.
- Maintains and promotes a productive work environment through effective management of labour scheduling, job scheduling, and production processes.
- Provides direction and promotes uniform workflow processes throughout all work shifts and with all associates.
- Accountable for variable cost controls such as hardware expenses & supplies expenses.
- Recruits associates and oversees effective on-boarding processes.
- Coordinates and manages effective supplies inventory processes to maximize capability and minimize costs.
- Responsible for managing performance of Production Supervisor team and providing ongoing coaching, development, and performance appraisals.
- Proactively models and ensures team's understanding of and adherence to all privacy policies.
- Accountable to understand general company policies and provide guidance to staff as needed.
- Ensures all hub associates check and understand all sources of communication information (white boards, bulletin boards, portals etc.).
- Ensure the general cleanliness of CPC workstations, according to company standards is maintained.
- Maintains a safe working environment and follows all company protocols for safety and is required to report any unsafe working conditions to Hub Manager.
- As per policy, required to have personal parcels (bags, totes, backpacks, purses, etc.) checked by a manager prior to leaving the store premises.
- Identifies and communicates suggestions for improvements in all areas of business.

**Some of what you need**:

- College or Technical School Diploma in Print Production preferred.
- 3-5 years with experience in graphic communication and printing industry with a background in print production
- 2- Years with supervisor/managerial experience
- Understands steps involved in the printing process
- Working knowledge of MAC OS and PC Platforms; preflight & industry software, file specifications and standards, desktop publishing terminology, file naming conventions
- Knowledge of database systems and workflow management programs
- Basic colour theory (models & space), calibration procedures, colour profiles, colour gamut of devices, and colour management devices
- Knowledge of internal and external network environment, operating systems, file types and extensions, software & hardware components of a prepress operation, file transfer (FTP, HTTP) protocols
- Being bilingual is an asset
- _Communication may be required with Staples head office associates or customers who reside outside of Quebec._
