**Job Title**: Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) - Toddler & Preschool Room

**Reports To**: Supervisor / Centre Director

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, inquiry
- and play-based programming for toddlers and/or preschoolers
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment aligned with the _Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT)_ framework and _How Does Learning Happen?_
- Observe, document, and assess children’s progress; maintain portfolios and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in care, routines, and programming
- Promote positive guidance techniques and model appropriate social behavior
- Maintain compliance with all policies of the center, the CECE, the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), and all relevant public health protocols
- Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Supervise and mentor students and assistants, as required

**Qualifications**:

- **Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators**
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution
- Valid **Standard First Aid and CPR Level C**
- Up-to-date **Vulnerable Sector Check** (dated within the past 6 months)
- Knowledge of _How Does Learning Happen?_, _ELECT_, and the CCEYA
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and observation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in a toddler and/or preschool setting is considered an asset
