**Accent Care Home & Health Services** is currently seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Health Care Aide for a permanent part-time positions. We provide high-quality care and support to clients in the community, and we invite individuals who meet the qualifications to apply.

**Position Overview**

As a Certified Health Care Aide you will provide essential support and aid a client in maintaining their independence and promoting healthy living. You will assist with daily activities, encourage positive social involvement, and ensure the emotional and physical well-being of the individuals in your care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes.
- Assist with daily living activities and offer emotional support.
- Respond effectively to a variety of client needs, including agitation.
- Ensure a high standard of care and maintain client safety.
- Organize and prioritize tasks effectively
- Maintain clear communication with clients, families, and supervisors.

**Credentials & Certifications**:

- **Health Care Aide Certification** from an accredited school or college in Canada (MANDATORY)
- **High School Diploma** (Grade 12 or equivalent)
- **Current CPR and First Aid Certification** (valid registry)
- **Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search** (valid within the last 3 months)
- **Current Adult and Child Abuse Registry Check** (valid within the last 3 months)
- **Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience** in a similar position, with experience in the private home sector
- Experience with client transfers and transporting equipment is highly preferred
- Strong ability to manage client agitation and respond appropriately

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

**Position Details**:

- **Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday (7 am - 9 am + 3 pm - 5 pm) SPLIT SHIFT
- **Area of the City**: Elmwood/Talbot
- **Location**: In-person, client home visits
- **Start Date**: Middle of December 2024 (Earliest), Middle of January 2025 (Latest)

**Licensing and Certification Requirements**:

- **Health Care Aide Certificate** (required)
- **CPR and First Aid Certification** (required)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Driving Licence (preferred)
