**About the Role**

SMS Security has been providing security solutions to the GTA for over 35 years with a strong presence in the multi-residential market. Our customers trust our advanced security systems and highly trained security personnel to keep their residents, property, and information secure. With our business growing, we’re looking for a full-time CCTV Technician to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:
**Installation**
- Install and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, and DVR’s, ensuring proper placement and alignment for optimal coverage
- Run and terminate cabling, and install necessary electrical components

**Troubleshooting**
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with CCTV systems, including camera malfunctions, connectivity problems, and recording issues
- Respond promptly to service calls and address on-site problems efficiently

**Customer Service**
- Collaborate with clients to understand their surveillance needs and provide expert advice on system upgrades or improvements
- Ensure the site is clean after the work is completed

**Documentation**
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, configurations, and maintenance activities
- Generate detailed reports for clients and internal use

**Training**
- Provide training to clients and end-users on the use and maintenance of CCTV systems
- Create instructional materials and documentation as needed

**Collaboration**
- Coordinate with other technicians, electricians, and security professionals to ensure seamless integration of CCTV systems with other security infrastructure.

**Good to Have**:

- Ability to assist in the service and installation of Access Control, Telephone Entry Systems, Door Operators, Elevators, Alarm Systems and IT is an advantage.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of experience with commercial and residential video surveillance systems
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid G driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to use power tools.
- Comfortable working in all elements - some projects are outside or in underground parking garages.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

**Salary**:

- $22-$36 per hour to start, depending on experience
