**DUTIES**
- Perform general clean-up of all facilities.
- Comply with Health and Safety and WHMIS requirements for Personal Protective Equipment.
- Respond to client requests for maintenance in hotel rooms.
- Sweep, mop, polish, refinish resilient floors, vacuum and shampoo carpeted areas, perform all cleaning aspects of halls, offices, board rooms, restrooms, lunchroom and as well as wash walls, windows and window coverings.
- Perform regular property inspections of the hotel including common areas, building exterior, and landscape.
- Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables.
- Clean light fixtures and change light bulbs/tubes.
- Perform repairs on windows, doors, switches, furniture, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Fabricate or/and install parts as needed
- Maintain heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels, thermostats, cooling towers, etc.
- Maintain working knowledge of environmental safeguards and alarm systems.
- Maintain fire alarms and extinguishers.
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems).
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
- Prepare, paint interior and exterior surfaces, as required.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 3 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Thunder Bay, ON P7J 1B8 (required)
