Ralmax Contracting Ltd., a Ralmax Group of Companies, has an exciting and immediate opening for a Dispatcher in Victoria. The Dispatcher position is responsible for receiving, assigning, scheduling various equipment, trucking and hired trucks to various jobs and locations to ensure that operations and projects are completed in a timely manner. This position will work with the dispatching systems to maximize production, efficiency, and service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive, record, and dispatch equipment to approved customers and in house jobs.
- Operate the HCSS dispatch system and perform direct data entry of orders and movement of equipment and trucks.
- Communicate professionally and clearly with drivers, job supervisors, and clients to maximize service and production and delivery efficiency
- Assist with managing drivers and operators of equipment and trucks.
- Coordinate equipment operators’ activities and drivers’ trucking assignments in cooperation with the Operations Manager.
- Assist with purchasing and stocking small tools, consumables, and safety supplies.
- Answer questions from customers.
- Collect driver/operator time daily and ensure it is accurately coded and submitted to finance.
- Assist with overseeing yard activities as needed.
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Knowledge of heavy-duty equipment highly preferred; but not required
- Knowledge of civil construction tools an asset
- Experience running heavy equipment i.e. loader and/or backhoe preferred
- Minimum one year dispatching experience is preferred
- Must be eligible to work in Canada

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Some computer skills required
- Ability to perform under deadline pressure
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow all Company policies and procedures, including safety
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and/or supervisors with other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Must have a current and valid class 5 driver’s license
- Must be willing to work evening and weekends on a rotational basis
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Travel to off-site locations may be required
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots.
- Work both indoors and outdoors
